I ordered this coating because I really liked the color shown online, but for some reason it came out noticeably different in person. The quality seems fine overall, but I was disappointed since the shade was the main reason I chose it.

I’ve had these parts coated for a little while now, and the finish still looks really good. They’ve been bumped around, cleaned a bunch, and used outside, but I’m not seeing any real chips or wear yet. It’s tougher than I was expecting, kind of like when you get something done and think it’ll wear down faster than... yeah, no complaints so far.

I ordered from cerakote.com and, to be fair, everything showed up in good shape and the order was correct. The only frustrating part was the waiting. Shipping felt slower than I expected, and the tracking updates weren’t very consistent, so I found myself checking a few times and wondering what was going on. In the end, it was a reminder that getting the right item matters most, but the process around it still shapes the whole experience. Not a bad experience overall, just one that could feel a lot smoother with better communication and quicker fulfillment

I reached out to cerakote.com with what I thought was a straightforward question about an order, and then just waited. After a few days with no real answer, I sent another message, but it was more of the same, complete silence.

Their actual product might be totally fine, but the customer service experience made it feel like no one was checking emails. In the end, I gave up and ordered from somewhere else. For me, if a company can’t reply to a simple question, I’d rather not deal with the hassle.

I expected this to be quick and easy to use, but it really wasn’t. It was hard to apply evenly, and the results didn’t look as smooth as I thought they would. The way it was presented made it seem much more effortless, so it kind of felt like a bait and switch once I actually tried it.

The surface prep tips were useful, and I did pick up a few things I probably would’ve skipped otherwise. But some parts were kind of unclear, and then I’d have to stop, reread, check what I had already done—just a bit fussy. It ended up taking longer than I expected, though not a total waste or anything

Cerakote works fine and the colors look really nice, so I can’t complain about the actual product. But for what it costs, I expected a little more. It kind of felt like the goalposts kept moving on what I should be okay with for the price. It’s not bad at all, just definitely not cheap...
